TWISTED SISTER, GWAR Frontmen Featured In 'Holliston' Sitcom; Trailer Available

February 21, 2012

TWISTED SISTER's Dee Snider and GWAR's Oderus Urungus are featured in the official trailer for "Holliston", the new sitcom premiering April 3 on the FEARnet cable television network.

"Holliston" is an outrageous and offbeat multi-camera, half-hour buddy comedy series starring directors Adam Green ("Hatchet 1" and "2", "Frozen", "Chillerama") and Joe Lynch ("Knights Of Badassdom", "Wrong Turn 2", "Chillerama"). Created by Green, FEARnet recently gave the series a six-episode order.

Described as "Big Bang Theory" meets "Evil Dead II", the show is set in the town of Holliston, Massachusetts, and follows the lives of Adam and Joe, two friends chasing the dream of becoming successful horror movie filmmakers while struggling to make ends meet in their post-college jobs at a Boston cable access station where they also host a late-night movie program called "The Movie Crypt". Urungus plays himself and is Adam's "imaginary" friend who happens to live in a closet and gives him advice that is extremely misguided and offensive.

"Both Dee Snider and Oderus Urungus exude the kind of larger-than-life personalities and elements that these characters were written for," said Green. "Both are true performers down to their cores and the entire cast and crew is so excited to have them join our family in these very fun roles that were tailor made for their sensibilities."

Commented Oderus Urungus: "I am pleased beyond belief that the human race, and FEARnet, has finally recognized my acting ability and hired me as the star of 'Holliston'. With Dee Snider on the cast, it's essential to have somebody that brings class to the proceedings...that class is me."
